Anyone along the I-95 corridor? Need gas availability report.

I've had these plans since Werks Reunion registration opened.
My plan is drive my turbo to FL; leave Wednesday from south NJ; one night in Lumberton NC; two nights in Brunswick, GA.
I welcome feedback on my chances - I don't think my 930 is going to be happy with 87 octane. :(
(Werks Reunion is Friday 5/21/21.)
Not my first rodeo - I've been driving to this since 2018.
Thanks in advance, Bill K

Gasbuddy has a feature to plan your trip/route based on where you're starting and heading, where you can buy premium, and your MPG/tank size. I've never used it (and am not sure how current the gasbuddy data is on who has premium) but may be worth investigating.

Thanks for the reply.
My concern is not so much for a higher octane, but for any gas at all.
As of yesterday, 40-60% of the stations in GA - VA had no gas.

You will have no concerns by then .... I live in a state full of idiots. There was never a shortage of gas at the tank farms here ... and nuthin' but panic buying caused the outages.

Use this gasbuddy link. Center a city on the map and press Redo search in this area. It will give you an idea of the current situation. Most of the ones I checked are in much better shape today.

I would imagine that by next week it should be fine. Everyone panic bought so demand over the next few days should be lower than normal.

My sister in NC...emailed me a few minutes ago that the stations that were closed, are now open again. They most all have lines...people still hoarding!

I have just traveled from Florida to South Carolina, just fuel up early (before 7am)or late (after 9pm) and not at 5 pm when every idiot gets off work and heads to the gas station. No issues on my trips which I make twice a week on I95. Btw I’ll be heading to the werks reunion also!

Maybe take a can or two of octane booster, just in case you can't get anything but regular

Once you are here, no problems getting gas.

How will the panic buyers transfer the fuel from the tupperware tubs to their gas tanks?

Here in SC I would think by then you will have smooth sailing. Wed and Thursday, when everyone was in full hoard mode, I was able to get gas as long as I stayed away from major exits. Truck stops like Love's tended to have more supply. I am hopeful by the time you come through on Thursday, it will be smooth sailing.

Have a great trip! Looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks for the responses.
I made down/back no problem.
My usual stops were always BP stations, but not a single one had anything more potent than the 87 octane.
I changed my strategy to stop at Shell exclusively and all was fine for the rest of the trip.
