NHL Playoffs - time to make those predictions

My world famously bad predictions:

First Round
Pens, Bruins, Canes, Panthers

Avs, Knights, Leafs (can you believe it?), Oilers

That's all I got. This year, almost anyone in these 8 have a shot.
So who wants to make pics and make a fool of themselves besides me?

Toronto? We have a resident fan. He'll know.
I am fairly sure the Preds and the Caps will be golfing before June. Caps due to injuries and iffy goalies. The Preds because they just aren't tight enough to go deep.

They're getting healthier (it seems), but the goalies are iffy. They could get hot all of a sudden....but not likely.

Flip a coin for the Leafs. I am a lifer but also a realist. Still have nightmares over the Bruins failures. Hopefully this year they get the hook early!

Every 1st and 2nd line player that has been injured shows up "healthy" to play the playoffs unless they cannot stand up. They play at 70% because it is what hockey players do.

Bummer about Vanachek. Hope he's O.K. Sure looked like he may have pulled a groin muscle. I am also bummed that Ovi is so healthy. Good game though.

So far, so good.
I'm 2 for 2 with the Avs and the Bs.

The Caps didn't have the goaltending to win and I have a feeling Ovi was playing at 75% or less.

I hope the Pens and Isles go 7 games and beat each other up... :D

Being a long-time Blues fan (with a bias) I knew this Blues team was going to be no match for Colorado. Missing most of the D and our leading scorer wasn't a real confidence booster either.

The Colorado/Las Vegas series should be a good one.

Watched some of the Oilers/Jets game last night.
Wouldn't have thought Edmonton would be on the edge so quickly in the first round.
Two o/t losses in a row are tough on a team but losing a 3 goal lead in the third makes it all the worse.
I don't have cable anymore so not watching much hockey or the Flames golfing...

Good goaltending most the year...and then last night happened. You can't win with soft goals going in.

But in Game 1 and Game 2 they couldn't score. Edmonton is not a complete team yet.

Wow Islies over the Pens! Suhweet to be wrong on this one.

Pens still believe they have the core of a contender. But they don't. Not with the pieces in place.

Malkin was hurt, Crosby is still good but getting slower, goaltending needed to step up.

Well I am doing better than most years.
Wrong on the Pens :D and the Panthers: 50% in the East
Wrong on the Oilers.

GAME 6 tonight should be a rockem sockem old school hockey death match. I'll have to root for the Leafs cause 'enemy of my enemies' means ANYONE but the Habs. I'd love to watch it but I've got something else to do... GO BRUINS
