Anyone know how 911 turbo wheel are measured?
Turbo water pumpers that is. The rear wheel is 11" wide, anyone know if they measure this from bead to bead (the way it should be measured) or is it measured from outside to outside? Can't find any info on it.

Isn't it from the inside lip to the (other) inside lip of the rim/wheel?

Measured by the factory or measured by the screwball selling?
Should be inside lip to inside lip, as a double check have the seller send you a closeup photo of what it says on the wheel, either on the back or some have the width right by the valve stem. The photos might be a good check to verify they're not selling replica wheels as well. |

Porsche claims they are 11" width but my question is if Porsche measures it inside to inside lip (way it suppose to ) or exterior to exterior. Came across a set of HREs but its 10" only out back. They claim its for a turbo and my stock is buried deep in the shop of my mechanic. Stocks rims are not in good shape.

Bead to bead. A typical wheel measure about .5 inches wider if measured "lip to lip" It is industry standard for all wheels to be measured from bead to bead. Doesn't matter the car or wheel brand.
Cheers

Thanks. Looks like I will need to install a set of spacers out back. 1" spacer maybe a bit much? What are the negatives on such thick spacer on such car?

Extra load on the wheel bearing. Not much else...

You may not need the spacers. There won’t be much difference in actual width with the same tire mounted on a 10 inch wheel, assuming 10 inches is an approved width for the tire. You should check the wheel offset, before pulling the trigger to buy them.
