In all my years in court I've only slipped up once. Judge asked me a question of no real importance. I responded, "it doesn't make a helluva, Oh I apologize your Honor". He just sort of chuckled and said something about it wasn't a big deal.

Outside of court is another matter. I tend to invent swear words when working on cars. It is actually pathetic.

My 22 years in the Army gave me quite the potty mouth. But in formal situations, including meetings with General Officers and Colonels, I always kept it clean. In private it was a different situation

There's a time and place for everything.

I hear public speaking engagements, training, Zoom, and Webex meetings are the perfect time and place for anything!

I have had management cuss on meetings.

At work, in the past when I worked in a group that all sat together, absolutely.

Very seldom when others are around.
Very often when working alone and something goes wrong.

Recently I've seen criminal defendants appear for court via Zoom:
in bed under a blanket,
in tank tops,
smoking,
walking around outside.

I've lost count. But one day this guy got irate and started yelling, I thought he was calling the judge 'b' that rhymes with witch but he was actually saying 'miss'. He escaped with his a s s in tact but just barely.

Yes.
It's the thing in the local town to put signs in your yard that say "F*ck ____ " ( the name of a politician.) They put them right out in the front yard. It's apparently legal, but it says a lot about what kind of person lives there.

I don't get signs or t-shirts like that. I wouldn't wear a t-shirt that said F*ck or even had it with the * or any other way that alluded to it.

Never, only on fooking Pelican.

How about if you put a question mark behind it?

I find it healthy to give a burst of anger occasionally. F-bomb, or other options. It keeps me nicely on the level. If I constantly silenced myself I'd probably have a massive meltdown at a later stage.

porsche4life 05-26-2021 11:35 AM

But I figure the videos im making soon for YouTube will need some bleeping. 🤣

occasional?
No.

Used to...quit. I was playing golf with some random gray haired, dignified (looking) guy that the starter put me with several years ago and everything started out pretty nice. About the third hole he missed a putt and let out a slew of vulgarity that made me realize he wasn’t (dignified). It was made clear to me how stupid old men look when they talk like that.

rusnak 05-26-2021 12:29 PM

When I'm really angry, there is zero cussing. I get very focused, very precise, and I make my point very clearly.

Cussing is for joking around, or when using the vernacular.

When working on equipment I dont usually make a sound. If taking a break out of frustration, I'll talk to it and tell it that I'm going to win and it's going to lose.

But "blue humor" oh heck yes. All the time.
