A few for me are, Prometheus, Alien Covenant, The Thing (1982 version), Man on Fire, First Blood, Pulp Fiction, World War Z, Coma (1978 version), The Exorcist, The Shining, Silence of the Lambs, Blade Runner, Highlander, and I Am Legend.

I've got a short list but one that's been added recently is Midway.
- There's lots and lots of details in the movie so it needs several viewings to do it justice. Some others... Both Blade Runner movies. The Mad Max series. All of the Mission impossible movies. (I've seen the first one more than 10 times over the years) The Shootist (1976 John Wayne). It's aged aged really well and I've seen multiple times. And "Fly Away home (1996)". Probably one of the best family movies ever made.

In addition to several mentioned the original Terminator works for me. Well directed. Cameron Diaz, I think, was the director.
 For way out on the fringe, The Flight of the Navigator. A kids/family movie but well done.
