As if we didn't have enough to worry about
Could the Euro be close to collapse?
https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/rapidly-becoming-untenable-eurozone-finances-have-deteriorated ""Rapidly Becoming Untenable" - Eurozone Finances Have Deteriorated Tyler Durden's Photo BY TYLER DURDEN SATURDAY, AUG 28, 2021 - 07:00 AM Authored by Alasdair Macleod via GoldMoney.com, Despite negative interest rates and money printing by the European Central Bank, which conveniently allowed all Eurozone member governments to fund themselves, having gone nowhere Eurozone nominal GDP is even lower than it was before the Lehman crisis. Then there is the question of bad debts, which have been mostly shovelled into the TARGET2 settlement system: otherwise, we would have seen some substantial bank failures by now. The Eurozone’s largest banks are over-leveraged, and their share prices question their survival. Furthermore, these banks will have to contract their balance sheets to comply with the new Basel 4 regulations covering risk weighted assets, due to be introduced in January 2023. And lastly, we should consider the political and economic consequences of a collapse of the Eurosystem. It is likely to be triggered by US dollar interest rates rising, causing a global bear market in financial assets. The financial position of highly indebted Eurozone members will become rapidly untenable and the very existence of the euro, the glue that holds it all together, will be threatened." Social Welfare states will do that to ya...even when they are being subsidized indirectly by the US in it's providing of security...military defense. Where the EU's can divert funds that would other wise have to be allocated to defense can be spent on social welfare.
And a large segment of Americans want to follow that model... Or if a collapse of the EU zone should occur the Germans will have lost another one... It is all a fkin joke people..they are fked, China, Japan, You and the rest of the world is fked.. Some people on this Board are already starting to whine like little beotchs...

Paul, please stop reading Zero Hedge. It is Russian propaganda designed to raise doubt and uncertainty in the US. You might have noticed by now that none of the dire predictions you’ve posted here from Zero Hedge have ever come true. Please do not waste any thought or energy worrying about anything in Zero Hedge. The Eurozone is not nor with will it be in the foreseeable future close to collapse.

Because of the obvious lack of moderators, now we see "As if we didn't have enough to worry about" in PPOT. Vague, clickbait title followed by political content. Don't even pretend that discussion of world finances is not political.
GTFO with this! jeezushkriest, I'll take pool cues and Mustangs over PARF'y siht. |

Fine then
for the complainers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N_lrhTf-LI Funny, I've seen posts discussing financial stuff here many times...but if the mods deem it so, please move to Parf. As far as zero hedge being Russian...proof needed from other than a left biased source.

The core PARFers revel and marinate themselves in misery and are eager to share it. Some of them are DESPERATE for attention and validation. I was curious and checked on one of them, 31 posts today and the day isn't over yet. If that isn't a cry for help, I don't know what is.

Do you know Mark Twain? What does any of this have to do with the Euro central banks? Not a thing...

I wasn’t the one saying this was propaganda. Merely that Tyler Durden was a character.
Interesting part? Mr. Durden is an anarchist / anti-capitalist. I’m truly not understanding what the author wants us to gather from this pen name. |
