Mercedes Blind spot sensor question.

I noticed the blind spot sensor not working. Going into the dash display, it shows the sensor as "deactivated". Not inoperable as on the Google forums that have Q&A and videos forums.

The manual says press the +/- key to turn on or off. No joy. Every other nanny sensor works. Would a blown fuse be the culprit....if I could find which fuse.

Any ideas?

Nope, it is mostly likely the two sensors back up in the rear bumper . Purchase the little harness that connects them also . I think, about $600 in parts. Rear bumper removal is necessary , but its an easy job . Id have some one scan it first just to make sure.
I have done my partners twice now. He lives at the ocean, and the salt makes them swell with corrosion .
It will takes down the canbus on his, and the whole vehicle goes into limp mode occasionally . no start, no dash lights, cant move it from park, nada.
They day his father passed away, at the parking gate at the hospital coming to say goodbye to his dad, the car went into total limp. Could not even get it out of park . Just stuck there like an idiot with people honking and yelling at him
He left it sitting there, and went into the hospital and had it towed here . Took him some time to come get it, he was mad at it .

Do both go at the same time? I mean I don't really care if they work or not. But if it's easy and or cheap to fix, I'll do it. $600 isn't a bank breaker but not cheap for a nanny function.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.

Id just do them both while you have the bumper off. Last time I did his, one was still functioning but looked terrible, with corrosion on all the pins at the connector .
All the road debris collects up in that portion of the bumper where the sensors are located, so it just holds the moisture, and salt and crap .
