King Of The Baggers Championship at Road America

I did not expect much from this class, but I was wrong. KW was lapping RA faster than I ever went on any of my 600s and would not have been last in the supersport aka 600 race. The 600s were pretty entertaining too. .

I just happened to flip thru the channels and found that baggers race live. It was really something to see those guys toss those big ol' bikes around.

Curious what the regulations are around a 'bagger'. Is there a minimum weight? I guess just dictating stock frame and engine block would be 500lbs alone.

From what I could gather they are pretty much stocker's but with built engines.

They are giving the HDs a lot of extra to compensate for the Indian's liquid cooling. Still crazy impressive laptimes. | ||

Yeah, those bikes are crazy. They're bagger's only in that they have tiny bags and fairings, but anyone that hustles an HD around RA at that pace is simply insane.

They have to use a production cradle with stock rake, the engines are crate 124's (ci) that are 'sealed, the wheelbase must be within 2" of stock and no carbon fiber wheels.
