It is weird how differing opinions will bring this about in people . We are just talking about some dumb **** on the internet .
We are all mostly friends here correct? We should probably all tone it down a notch, the world is becoming an angry place. I feel it happening to me also |

I was not coming at you Nick, you are one of the cool ones here, and I totally agree with you, just making an observation on the tone of things around here as of late .
An eviction thread , turns into you and Black 73 meeting behind the bleachers , lols .. Hey, my wife just got back from the Post office , and we have good news. We got a letter from S8 saying our unit has failed inspection, and my tenant has 30 days to vacate, or she is in danger of loosing her housing voucher . This means, she has to move out and move into another unit, or she gets no more free housing . I put the blitzkeig on her, and hit her from all anlges . The magistrate took my eviction application this week, and looks like that is moving forward . The minute that she tole me , " I aint got to go nowhere mr Fred, and you cannot do anything about it", I let the dogs out . I decided, that on September 1st, I quit abiding by the laws, and will start turning off the water, and breaking windows . fk em , I waited long enough. I was not against the moratorium at first either. At this point, it is just crazy to let it go on . |
Even the Washington Post recognizes how wrong, unconstitutional and ill-advised these eviction moratoriums are.
That’s saying something. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/08/06/eviction-moratorium-mess-biden-cdc/ |

In the mean time, I have housing inspection. City of LA or rent controlled areas make us pay for this inspection. We pay them to tell us how bad our places are so we fix them or get fine. If we fail inspection they collect from the renter until its gets fixed after fines and of course, fee, more fawking fees. This little butt head needs to find something. He dinged me for lack of permit on our water heaters. Two permit for heaters that was put in 5 years ago. I put them in after I bought the building but it is in its original place. So, to down town I go and pay. Just parking alone is 30 bucks. I can't get a permit as a home owner, so I have to get a plumber to do this for me. Instead, I apply for the permit as a contractor but I have to get it with three other trades. Its now, one permit for heater, one electrical outlet, and window replacement. That was 550 bucks per each unit. Thank you very much. He wanted the exterior painted due to a couple of spots of peeling paint (about the size of a quarter) about 15' up in the air. Repair small holes in window screens that were about 1/2' long. Its for the tenant's safety according to him. Its all a bunch of BS and I haven't gotten one fooking dime from tenant or the state's relief. Yet, I am paying to fix things for THEM. Yes, this man has a job, full time working for my friend. I mentioned that already, but let me get it off my chest again will ya. Damn, I feel a little better.

Thank you. |
Many of my generation learned the problem with lazy worthless leeches during the hippy movement. We thought communal living meant everyone put in their fair share of the work but there was always one bum that just wanted to smoke dope and play guitar all day yet he thought he deserved his share of the food. Socialism is a grand concept that doesn't work.

Here's a wonderful little story to show what happens when people think "the rich" owe them:
Each and every day, 10 men go to a restaurant for dinner together. The bill for all 10 comes to $100 each day. If the bill were paid the way we pay our taxes, the first four would pay nothing; the fifth would pay $1; the sixth would pay $3; the seventh $7; the eighth $12; the ninth $18. The 10th man – the richest – would pay $59. Although the 10 men didn't share the bill equally, they all seemed content enough with the arrangement – until the restaurant owner threw them a curve. "You're all very good customers," the owner said, "so I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20. I'm going to charge you just $80 in total." The 10 men looked at each other and seemed genuinely surprised, but quite happy about the news. The first four men, of course, are unaffected because they weren't paying anything for their meals anyway. They'll still eat for free. The big question is how to divvy up the $20 in savings among the remaining six in a way that's fair for each of them. They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33, but if they subtract that amount from each person's share, then the fifth and sixth men would end up being paid to eat their meals. The restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each person's bill by roughly the same percentage, and he proceeded to work out the amounts that each should pay. The results? The fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $14, leaving the 10th man with a bill of $50 instead of $59. Outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. "I only got one dollar out of the $20," said the sixth man, pointing to the 10th man, "and he got $9!" "Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too! It's not fair that he got nine times more than me!" "That's true," shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get back $9 when I only got $2? The rich get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!" The nine outraged men surrounded the 10th and brutally assaulted him. The next day, he didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they faced a problem that they hadn't faced before. They were $50 short. |
