Good pic. First one without my dad. Kids are home, big breakfast and a day to relax, enjoy and look to the sky with a word of thanks for the time I had with my dad.

That's a great cartoon.

It is indeed.

Daughter just left, we had our breakfast in town and she is headed back to Mount Pleasant, SC.

I am a fortunate son and father.

I'm gonna steal that cartoon Baz and send it to my son.

Thanks, and Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there.

Another year in the books with NO Fathers Day card with a free ticket to the Maury Povich Show. :D

One of my friends sends me the customary Happy Father's Day greeting. It is our long running joke ever since I have known her. I last saw her about a month ago and we were naughty and the condom broke.

Hope all you dads had a good day. MrsWD’s birthday was Saturday so her daughter and her two boys (who have adopted me as grandpa) came over.
The adults had Screwmosas with brunch while the boys played in the pool. MrsWD’s favorite cake is German Chocolate with coconut pecan frosting. I made the cake but couldn’t help experimenting, so I made coconut pecan bacon frosting. It’s now her new favorite!
One of the boys loves cars so we took the VW out into the pasture and practiced handbrake turns. That made his day.
Bottom line - it was a great day. The best I’ve had in a while.

I had not seen my dad on fathers day since 2009. I did visit he and mom a few months ago. A few days ago he said he and mom would be down my way! He's never visited our home. What a treat!

I gave it my all. Smoked pulled pork, potato salad, red beans and rice, Blue Bell ice cream. I forgot to put the cobbler in the oven! Oh well, all was forgiven.

What a nice fathers day. I was and am still choked up that he came to see us!

He offered to have a tree service come in to clean up our trees! They are far too big for us to handle.

I hope all of you fathers out there had a wonderful day!

We went for a short hike for Fathers Day today. We did a hike in the Porcupine Hills which is a sorta remote area and not well travelled. This was the area where we cut our Christmas Tree the last few years and we wanted to explore some more there. This went well… until it didn’t.

A rear coil over shock in my wife’s Tribeca either bent or broke… the coil spring has a 90° bend and is rubbing on the wheel. We were 4 miles off the highway, no cell coverage, and needed a tow truck.

I found a spot where I could get one bar of cell service and we called a tow truck and some friends to come ~100 miles to get us (can’t ride in the tow truck)…

We bought supper for our friends and when we got home, the Tribeca was in the yard waiting for us.

The parts have already been ordered (with one bar of cell service) while we waited for rescue.

It was a Father’s Day we won’t soon forget.

FB II and Flatbuttette were out on the pond when the sky opened. There was no lightning so they took their time with RTB.

Afterward I was in port explaining some construction details to my SIL while FB II and III mugged it up.

Too bad I can't buy a BJ along with the steak.
