Anyone else buy anything from Amazon during their 'prime days sale'?

I replaced my Kindle Fire 10 tablet (4 years old)...with a new one for half the price today.
More features, memory, battery power, and HD

I use it all the time in the summer for streaming movies outdoors.

$79...not sure how many more days for the sale.

I don't have any Amazon stuff (pad, stick, etc...). I rarely buy anything. I just happened to buy something yesterday that ended up being on sale.

Saw some sale prices on External SSDs on Amazon. Checked www.newegg.com. They had the same prices but with availability where Amazon was out.

I think most of the 'deals' are on their brand electronics before the next years model comes out.

probably a lot of truth in that.

I think Amazon does mark their electronics down a fair amount on Prime days, because they know they'll make the money back in tracking or extra sales or whatever they use their stuff for to make money.

And yeah, there are some crazy deals on Black Friday (can we still call it that?) but those are, I believe, usually quite limited and like chumming the water to work up the feeding frenzy for the folks that they buy tons of crap at regular price.

All I know is that I'm thrilled to get a new replacement for my Kindle Fire 10...for half the price I paid four years ago. I use the thing a lot.

I bought a Crucial 1TB external SSD for 94 bucks...

I bought a few things I didn't need: a wifi range extender, a trail cam, trim tool set, and an assortment of trim fasteners.

Just recieved an email from Amazon. The Kindle Fire will be here tomorrow.
Two days for delivery...wtf? lol

$149 now.

Yesterday must have been the last day of the sale.

Kindle Fire HD arrived this am.
Set-up is a matter of entering your Amazon password and just that easily...all the info, pics, bookmarks are all on the new Kindle from the old one.

The old one is an 8" screen...this 10" one feels the same weight or a tad lighter.

The 10" HD screen is amazing.

Do they have these sales on dates that are prime numbers?

How weird is it that is the first place my head went when I see "prime days"

Normally, they have it two days in the summer. This year June21 and 22
Last year, it was Oct 13 and 14...because of Covid.

I bought quite a bit of stuff. Suitcase solar panels, solar charge controller, lithium power bank and car battery jump starter, bike pedals for wifey’s ebike, kid’s bucket hat for my little boy, Garmin smart watch for wifey, bike helmet mirror and a digital multimeter.
