I wonder how much the rails on the floor would bother a good pool player.
Having to always align your feet with the shot...might be tough with a raised rail in the way.

The only drawbacks I can see is that the nice floor had to be cut out to accommodate the recessed slider rails. That will gum up with dust quickly, at least in my house.

The motor and drive looked like it was hidden underneath the table from the vid, but it has to impart force to the floor which is 3 feet below. That would require an additional structure underneath or drive linkage. If it's also recessed in the floor it would be an invisible install)

(I only watched the video once and very quickly and wish those parts of the planning were explained a bit better. Those factors were a whistle overhead.)

I did the same thing, except my rails are moved by hand. When we finished our basement I was adamant that we would be able to use a full sized cue on all areas of our regulation sized 9 foot table. With the drywall we were just a few inches short. So I had our builder install industrial rollers on the floor and mounted the table on them. If you look at the picture you can see the front roller between the table's legs. It works beautifully. The balls don't move at all and you can get the shot you want anywhere the ball lies.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1624477276.JPG
