I'd never heard of them, but watching the local news... I giggled like a little school girl. Local collegiate league baseball team:

I can play on this one! My wife and I moved from Alabama to Upper Michigan last September and here in the UP are two that quickly caught our attention: the Watersmeet Nimrods and the Kingsford Flivvers.

I knew two guys that played in the NHL and were sponsored by Easton.

Their summer ball hockey team was 'Easton Fection'

The next town has a hockey team called the Trojans.
I suppose their goalie never lets anything in.

I remember a trivia question from years ago. Nearly all Pro sports teams name end in "S".

There used to be 3 teams that bucked the trend but now I can think of 4.

I lived in San Diego in the '80's and played in a lot of "Over the Line" tournaments.

Team names were very, uh, sporty:D

Yes I did include hockey. Lightning, Avalanche and Wild. So we're back to 5.
