Can you calibrate the touch screen on an iPhone?

Can you calibrate the touch screen on an iPhone?

Over the years, I have dropped my phone a couple times and now the screen is cracked (I have a nice screen protector). Since then, the ability to control the cursor has diminished. I used to be able to point to a place on the screen when I moved the cursor and now it can be words or even sentences off.

Am I stuck with this until I replace the screen or is there a way to calibrate the screen with your finger?

One of he later updates caused a change in where the curser is relative to where you touch the screen. The idea was that you are now supposed be able to see the curser, which is actually a little above your finger. If that is what you’re talking about, it takes a little getting used to.

Moving my finger to move the cursor actually works well. It shows up as a thick blue line.

My problem is touching the screen showing a lot of text. I used to be able to lightly touch the screen and pinpoint where I wanted the cursor, but now it can be words or sentences off. This all started after I cracked my screen.

As I tell Mrs. Rocket quite often, it’s probably user error.
