If you are looking for a workout, get the model B. For whatever reason, it provides a better workout than the newer models. I suspect the newer ones had design creep to make them easier for general consumer whereas the model B was made only for rowers in mind. good luck!

Shaun, looking online, it seems the model B has been discontinued. If a used one can’t be found, what are your thoughts on the later model C2 RowErg machine?
Edit: my son was a swimmer at University and his roommate was a rower. He said the Concept 2 is the only machine they used and he’s going to buy one.
