That was pretty lame red flagging that race..

Lowly PCA club races and DEs have run under worse conditions...

I thought it was due to local lightening strikes. They have to shut operations down for 30 minutes. The clock resets after each strike.

Yes, it was for lightning. The announcer crew said that several times. They can't race and have the corner workers, etc. out there exposed to danger.

I was somewhat surprised they were interviewing drivers and team members in the open air under the roof of the pit buildings. Lightning does travel sideways, too. In trailers and motorhomes would've been safe.
