Hey! Don't knock leaches until you've tried them! :)

The map was someone else's joke, unlike common PARF practice, I attributed it. It's right there in the photo.

You chose to drop that anti-US propaganda turd in the punch bowl.

And now "it was just someone else's turd" (that you fished out of the toilet? )

lame.

speeder 07-26-2021 05:54 PM

It’s only a turd if you’re a thin skinned Trump queen. It’s a joke and it was mildly funny.

Shatner in space is delayed till Wednesday morning. I'm amazed that someone of his age (90) can make this trip.

I love that Shatner is going to get to do this. As for his age, Wally Funk, who was on the first Blue Origin flight, was 84.

John Glen was the oldest person to fly on the shuttle at age 77 back on October 29th 1998.

Shatner will blow that record away. No one doubts Glenn was an astronaut. Shatner will be just a passenger - tourist.

They should at least let him give the order: Engage.

No one doubts Glenn for what he did when he's young, but you're not telling me at 77 he was doing a lot of the real astronaut work , he was a test subject for geriatric studies...
They measured his old man data to compare it to his young man data set. That was the mission he was doing there.. the rest was PR for Nasa.

Other then the duration of STS95 and being a human guinea pig, he didn't really do anything more then what Shatner will do : along for the ride

Is the title of this Thread a polite way of saying that those guys are space cadets...out to lunch..

KFC911 10-12-2021 11:59 AM

Are you gonna tell me that Elton wasn't really a rocketman ... after all these years?

Fast Freddy 944 10-12-2021 12:08 PM

Hate to burst your rants, but if you sit on top of a rocket booster in a capsul or fly in a rocket plane you are officially an astronaught. If you do the same in Russia, you are offically a cosmonaught. No matter how jealous of their fame and fourtune, it happened, they are astronaughts. and thats that. Go buy a Gemini Tittan, find a gantry, strap your self in, and go blast yourselves off.;)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1634069302.jpg

flatbutt 10-12-2021 12:53 PM

Everything else aside if Shatner can tolerate the stresses of a rocket launch at the age of 90 then he can have whatever title he wants. 90!

Sooner or later 10-13-2021 05:31 AM

Flight on a temporary hold.

https://youtu.be/uEhdlIor-do

Sooner or later 10-13-2021 05:50 AM

Countdown resumes.

Launch at about 9:30 central.

svandamme 10-13-2021 07:06 AM

I think it's cool, that the most famous Space Explorer of Sci Fi, got his chance to get up there at his age.
Sure he wasn't an astronaut in the 60ies, but I'm sure he's done a great deal to inspire others about going into space. Hell, first Star Trek show was in 66, he has waited a long time for this.
To bad Spock couldn't go with him.

svandamme 10-13-2021 07:06 AM

The overexcited narration is extremely irritating tho

svandamme 10-13-2021 07:15 AM

Shatner is standing there, trying to describe what he felt and saw.. emotional.. trying to come up with something profound and express what he just experienced.
Bozo walks away grabs bottle of champagne to pop and OWOHOWOWYEEEHAW

What a Jackass.
