2011 Triumph Bonneville

Available nearby. 2011 Bonny. 15k miles. They are asking $4600.

Good value proposition?

Yes, a reasonable value. I had a 2010 for a while. Nice bike but I found it very “appliance-like”. Got bored with it quickly. Does everything mediocre. YMMV...of course.

Some odd looking crash bars. Not sure I like the idea of them wrapping around the jugs. Consider tossing those if you buy the bike. It seems that a hard fall would shove it right into the cooling fins...or worse.

Would your drive 3 hours at 75 mph on it?

Sure…it’s not a heavy bike so may get tossed around a bit by the wind (truck-wash) but it’s certainly capable and reliable. If that is your intended use for it, consider a heavier machine. But for an occasional transportation requirement up the freeway, no problem.

I’m sure others will chime in with different experience. It’s a good bike, I just found it to lack any discernible character. But a good quality machine overall. Like a Hyundai.

Mike pretty well said it all about this bike. It does everything OK, but nothing really well. I had one for about a year, never really got attached to it, and sold it.
