Whats up with the ships to you Marketplace ads ?
 

FB marketplace used to rock, now it is trying to feed me stuff from halfway across the country and says will ship to me for $5.
No way , are they shipping 4 wheels, or a pick up truck cap for 5 bucks . Anybody bought anything that was not local from Market place ?

Just filter on Local Pick Up only.

When I sort by distance, it barely feeds me anything. I believe I set the distance to 100 miles ..

Marketplace sucks. Their filters don’t work right and it doesn’t sort right. I want to be able to get it to save my preference of no shipped items. I search for big ****, it won’t ship. 🤣

Car searches suck on Marketplace. Hell, Craigslist has more filter relevant options than marketplace!

Agreed, it used to be excellent though . Its been like this for 6 months or more . I am always shopping for larger items, like cars, trucks, equipment and tools. Like Id have any interest in a tire machine in Kalamazoo Mi, or a truck bed liner in Gatlinsburg Tn. It seems as if you cannot filter it down any closer than that .
I started looking at Craigslist again, and it is a ghost town there .
If I were a tech savy young guy,Id be looking at making some sort of newer local selling platform .

It seems like it has happened under Covid, Id bet they are trying to limit person to person cash transactions. You know , doing their part to control, and track us in every way possible .

Always had great luck buying and selling through Marketplace. But the past number of months has sucked. I get bombed with so much out of area crap , and stuff that I have no interest in. Almost impossible to filter it now.

I’ve had decent luck with OfferUp too, but it’s not great for searching for cars
