Driving on dusty dirt roads.
I should have done my oils change earlier. I just didn’t think much about it. Work and all…
But I’ve been hitting this lake. 1 hour on a nasty dirt road. My friend is less directionally challenged than I am. ( 3 t-intersections along the way) so he leads. I’m eating his grit the entire way. I fall way back to minimize the dust. My oil did seemed extra dirty. But my engine air filter? Wow! Shame on me. I stared at the sun thru the filter and could barely see light thru a portion of the pleats. That went into the garbage can and I put in a fresh filter. Dirt roads are brutal. But oh so full of fun. Solid paved road to tomorrow’s lake.

I used to run oil soaked air filters on my dirt bikes. Man they caked up really fast.

You go through a lot of cabin and air filters.
If i was to guess i get 20,000 miles out of them. You'll also go through a ton of tires. If i can get 15,000 miles out of a pair of rears I'm happy. I run retreads on the rear bc they're trashed so often.
