Rat rod issue
the issue is, sometimes they're too gol-darn low!

They are probably on airbag suspensions in the rear. For driving with hey raise the rear.

Those examples are silly, but I have some some amazing rat rods at shows.

Rice cars can be even worse. Lower budget. Less experience building.

My neighbor had one like that. Super cool to look at, but he never drove it for that reason. Couldn’t see out, couldn’t be seen, couldn’t hear anything over the open header. It moved very rarely. 🤣

I think planning for comfort was low on the list of priorities when those were designed/built . Looks cool though.

I’ll be glad when the rat rod and fake patina fads go the way of fender skirts and continental kits.

Yep, agree that it wasn't built for cross country travel. Same with a hardtail bike, but diehards do it.
