Remember watching this guy?
I grew up admiring Archie and the Saints on NFL Sundays.
Not much defense...but Archie could score points. He's 72 years old. Quite the family. https://sports.yahoo.com/watch-peyton-manning-father-archie-182103548.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Peyton's Golden moment. <a href="https://t.co/yY86oMaSWS">pic.twitter.com/yY86oMaSWS</a></p>— Indianapolis Colts (@Colts) <a href="https://twitter.com/Colts/status/1423805503340220419?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 7, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Archie and Fran (Tarkenton) were my favorites...even though I didn't root for their teams.

I like that family. One of my daughters was at UT during Peyton’s hay day. Anything you wanted to buy in Knoxville, you could get with Peyton Manning’s name on it! I went to one UT game in Knoxville (don’t even remember who they played) but game day was a spectacle to behold back in that era. They’ve never been the same since they got rid of Phillip Fulmer.

His commercials are the best of any sports figure.
A really likeable person....from the 'old man' <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/x85eQDa2JDk" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
