Carpentry- wall fixing removal

This is a fixing into a plaster wall which mounted a towel rail.

Can anyone advise how to remove this type of fixing with minimal damage to the wall?

TIA.

Leave the Molly's in there and cover with sticky dry wall tape and a few mud applications. I use the 5 minute mud for small repairs so I don't have to wait too long to sand and re-apply

Hey thx. They're not quite flush tho. No way to remove?

Yep, get some sticky mesh tape. I wouldn't pull the Molly's out, they're fine buried in the mud

Easy way is to drill them like a pop rivet.

Or just bash them in a little on the face. (1/8”) and then tape and mud over.

And the they're out. Inserted bolt, tapped with hammer. Heads busted off. Thanks all.

+1
Put the ball end of a ball peen hammer against it, tap the hammer with a mallet until it’s just below the surface. Easy repair with a teaspoon size dollop of spackling. .
