Baz, have you asked Eric to look at this thread? I don't want to bombard him or other Pelican staff when my problem might be slightly different than yours, and others, so this thread is good for one person to see problems many of us are having.

Thanks for posting about this.SmileWavy

Hey guys,

I did let the other admins know of Baz's issue and one of our fellow admins has the same issue as well sometimes. I wish i knew what is causing this but unfortunately I don't. What I suggested was to clear all cookies and browsing data and hopefully it would work. Unfortunately it didn't for Baz :(

I'm not having issues at home on my PC or laptop, as well as the office with Windows and Firefox on all of them. Really weird stuff. I know IT has their hands full but I'll see if I can have someone take a quick look sooner. Sorry for the inconvenience folks.

Thank you Eric, much appreciated. If it helps, I use Firefox on a Mac

I just brought it up in our meeting so I'm crossing my fingers the solution is found soon for you guys.

Please post up on any other forum issues you have as well. IT will be sent this thread.

Today was the first time back on the site for the past 10 days and the problem has apparently been resolved.

When I clicked on my bookmark, I didn't even have to log in, which is how it's always been.

Thanks Eric and IT team! SmileWavy

Good luck to anyone else having any issues. Please feel free to post here if you're still having log in issues. And also if they've been resolved.

Evidently the issues are resolved. For many years my bookmark just took me to the site with no log in needed. In recent weeks I had to log in each time, even when I said remember me.

Recently, all is back to normal. Thanks for all the work Eric and the IT team. My subscription payment check is in the mail! ;)

Baz 09-03-2021 04:22 AM

Well - everything was back to normal until last night when the problem started happening again.

Anyone else?

GH85Carrera 09-03-2021 05:11 AM

Yea, I am once again back to having to log in on every visit. Whatever was wrong last time is happening again.

OK thanks - I will send another PM to Eric......

update for me, I downloaded Firefox 78.14 which is I think a good one year old version, turned off auto-updates, and it's working pretty well. I can click on email links and they open with me logged in. So going back to an earlier version worked for me.

I didn't want to import all of my bookmarks so setting up anything with a username and password has been a hassle but wellllllll worth it.

Me too. But only on my home computer using Microsoft Edge. Works fine at work where I use Google Chrome.

I use Firefox on both Windows and Android and don't experience these issues. It's hard for me to accept that a particular browser is at fault. It's more likely a plugin or setting on the browser side or configuration issue on the server side.

OK Shaun....I just went back to version 78.14 so we'll see what happens. I will let everyone know. Thanks!

Problem has now gone away. Thank you, Shaun!

Great to hear Baz!
