Much of this is a result of poor parenting.

Including a complete absence of parent(s).

In some cases a child can still overcome the poor or absent parenting situation, thanks to the right role models being in place.

There's more to it than that but the parenting thing accounts for much of this.....

The impact does not look severe. It's almost like they bumped elbows and she slipped trying to avoid him rather than taking a shoulder.

The video is not fluid so I can't really tell where the impact is but it's clear he took a straight line to her.

Jordan Wong in Baz's link does not appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

A Hawaii man has been arrested after he was caught on video pushing over an elderly woman in a brazen daylight assault on the streets of Honolulu, authorities said Wednesday.

Jordan K. Wong, 37, was identified as the suspect who assaulted the woman Saturday around 11:40 a.m. on South Beretania Street, Honolulu’s Department of the Prosecuting Attorney said in a statement.

Wong was apprehended after citizens shared surveillance video of the incident on the Facebook group Stolen Stuff Hawaii. The footage shows the suspect walk toward the elderly woman and shove her, causing the victim to fall over the curb and into the street.

While the woman’s exact age was unclear, a witness who worked at a local business and helped the victim estimated she was about 80 years old, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.

The suspect’s motive remained unclear as it appeared on video that he did not attempt to take the victim’s purse.

Wong could face up to five years in prison if convicted of the assault on an elderly woman in Honolulu over the weekend.

Wong could face a harsher penalty if convicted after Gov. David Ige last month signed into law Act 147, which makes intentionally or knowingly causing bodily injury to anyone age 60 or older a Class C felony.

In announcing Wong’s arrest, Prosecuting Attorney Steve Alm warned: "Those who prey upon our kūpuna will be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law."

Kūpuna means honored elder in Hawaiian.

When we have politicians who suck up to low-jifes for political gain,
when we have politicians who use violent anti-American groups as weapons against their opposition,
when we have law enforcement dishonestly painted as evil oppressors,
when we have law enforcement refuse to do their jobs because of potential exposure to a virus and instead hide from the public, only going after the most egregious crimes,
when the idiots release waves of criminals from jail because they might get sick,
when we have politicized district attorneys bought and paid for by extremist billionaires who's interests are not aligned with those of this country,
when we refuse to prosecute lesser crimes and turn the arrest and bond process into a revolving door,
when we have media that filters and distorts the truth,
when we have social media that gives a voice to idiots who should be ignored,
when we have law enforcement rules and actions dictated by union bosses,

we end up with emboldened criminals who believe there will be little or no consequences to their actions.
Which is where we are now.

Id kick in on that. There should be a go fund me for such things . That would chill society the fk out a bit . Start letting our populace take care of things, instead of the soft courts
