Dr. Phatt, she is starting to realize this is actually going to happen and getting pretty pumped about it. I'm taking her to the primary dentist Thursday for additional casting work that they said was needed (picking her up at Ft. Worth rail station - she is riding the commuter train that runs between Dallas and Ft. Worth, since she doesn't drive).

Raw, what are the details for donation? I would like to pitch in some.

BTW - the appointment today with the primary dentist was great; learned more about what he is doing and that his end of it is on pace to be ready for the surgeon on Sept 10th. In other words, things are looking very promising.

I knew next to nothing about what is done to correct a mouth situation such as hers (thankfully do not have that problem myself, and don't know anyone else that does), so get this - when front teeth are lost, it obviously looks terrible (lips curl inward, etc), but when rearward teeth are lost, the lower jaw no longer has spacing support, so it gradually "compresses" and you end up with the pinched face look ("nose on the chin" deal); the work Toni is getting will correct that ("open her bite up considerably", as the dentist explained - that is what the additional casting work done today was for). She has both problems (has almost no teeth left at all) so needless to say, she is very grateful to be able to get such long-term damaged fixed for good.
