Acura Integra back next year!

No pics yet. I never heard that they were planning it.

Hoping for a buisness casual version of the civic type r, but we shall see

stevej37 08-15-2021 05:42 PM

I'd go for the hatchback...type R Or was it the RSX?

Alan A 08-15-2021 09:05 PM

Hope it’s better than the TLX. Drove the S type this weekend. Not impressed.

stevej37 11-11-2021 07:40 PM

skip to 1:40 to see the car.
The comments on youtube are not good.

The Youtube comments are brutal and go on forever but are well deserved.

Acura lost its way years ago, do it right or don't do it it all. If you're not going to make a respectable Integra than just stick with SUVs.

Noah930 11-11-2021 09:00 PM

Wow. Terrible. That is gonna bomb. Hard.

Its looks are remarkably underwhelming. It looks like any other anonymous 4-door Japanese sedan: Civic, Accord, Maxima, whatever the hell they're calling the Mazda, Camry. It looks nothing like any of the previous Integras.

porsche4life 11-11-2021 09:01 PM

Wow I think the only thing it has in common with the iconic integra is the yellow paint.

aigel 11-11-2021 11:32 PM

LOL!!! Awful

Bill Douglas 11-12-2021 12:03 AM

I was thinking I quite liked it until he said it was a 1500cc engine. Sure a modern turbo charged 1500 has some get up and go, but it would mean you had to thrash it to death constantly to get it to move. I assumed it would be a two litre or thereabouts.

People bought the Pontiac Aztec... so it'll sell.

They screwed that up also...."Finished in striking Indy Yellow Pearl paint borrowed from NSX, the Integra Prototype is a strong indication of the exterior design of the all-new 2023 Acura Integra, which will be priced around $30,000 when it arrives at Acura dealers next year."

Which one is supposed to look better? :)

pksystems 11-12-2021 06:04 AM

Is it still wrong wheel drive?

berettafan 11-12-2021 06:12 AM

Boy is that a letdown.

RANDY P 11-12-2021 07:14 AM

Rebadged Civic SI.

aschen 11-12-2021 08:05 AM

Hoping for a business casual CTR but seems like a business casual CSI

Its probably a perfectly decent sporty FWD car. The last civic SI was actually pretty good for what it was, still a let down.

Noah930 11-12-2021 10:20 AM

None of us lie within the target demographic for this car, anyway. PPOT is not an urban, street scene, hip hop crew. This is just historic rebadging. Like Ford sticking the Mustang moniker on that electric crossover.

It's too bad from a marketing perspective. This car could have been targeted at me, a Gen X'er who grew up with the 3 generations of the Integra and now has enough money to buy one not for myself but for one of my teenagers/college age kids who is now of driving age.
