Ahhh, to be a mere 50 years younger...;)

Funny..if I was asked to name USA cities with gorgeous young women, Cleveland would not be on the list...but there she is.

I have used an independent watchmaker - once.
My opinion would be to have Rolex (Tudor) do it.
I would think that you could ask them to just replace the crystal. Should not need to get a full service - particularly if they have a recent history on your watch.

There are places that will replace with an aftermarket crystal too. I think from reading previous threads that you’ve got a Tudor Sub. Right?

I’ve got a 1980’s model, and have been wanting to get it done too. And also have been dragging my butt because of the price.
Seems that the ‘vintage’ Tudor subs have gone out of this world from a valuation standpoint.
Mine still runs - but I wore it for 20 years straight, so would think a cleaning would be in order.
The bracelet is really stretched out, but I think replacement would be $1k+ - so will be rocking it with patina when I wear that one.

I don’t care what anybody says - I like a nice watch. Only jewelry I wear - aside from my wedding band.

Is there a crystal material (sapphire?) that's stronger than the OEM?

I’m not aware of any Rolex or Tudor watches that originally came with a plastic crystal that can be fitted with a sapphire crystal. Different dimensions.

No idea how recent his watch is, or what it came with.

How bad is your bracelet? Is it an Oyster or Jubilee? I have seen Jubilees stretched, but not Oysters. However, you can send your bracelet to these guys. Classic Watch Repair
