There are certainly plenty of folks who worship money - living out their entire lives while missing out on the little things that are free.....and bring a smile to your face.

No disrespect intended, the song just immediately came to my head. I totally agree; happiness is often just a decision to appreciate everything you can, no matter how small. Like my grandson telling us his mom stepped on a Lego and ate poop. Took us a minute to figure out what he actually meant, then had us rolling!

Yo Kurt - yes......they are SUPER comfortable! I love slip ons, too! I have had to glue the soles back on a couple times - just an inch or so of the very front part. Used Gorilla Glue and worked like a champ.

I get them from Amazon - right now only $43.47/pair. I wear a size 13.

Those are Hobokens. They come pre-distressed for that worn in look.

No harm done and well said, my friend.

At some point - you have to take in as much as you can - before it's too late.

This morning for me it was just a little bird chirping away in a tree next to my back patio. Sounded so happy and full of hope!

If I could buy them for under $200 I’d be happy.

So not free as much as long lived?

Now, the hugs I get from my grand kids ...those are free.

I have exactly the same shoes. I was sure I would hate them, and now I wear them every day.

Mine stretched out a bit, I threw in a new insole, and boom, I look like a slob again. Only a more comfortable slob.

Yes, lived long. I got them at the end of 2018, so around 2.5 years old. I guess I was trying to convey just the concept of enjoying the fact that they were well worn and as such, very comfortable. Also they've been with me through "thick and thin" - thus like an old faithful friend.

In that sense...much like "man's best friend"!
