Omar Little (The Wire) is dead !!

Omar Little (Michael K. Williams) the baddest A$$ on The Wire is dead. Omar roamed the drug riddled streets of Baltimore wearing a Duster which concealed his sawed-off shotgun, big revolver and bullet proof vest.
His M.O.: robbed the corner drug dealers and their stash houses. The cops were after him as well as the drug dealers. And how he met his end on The Wire... nobody saw that coming !! Brilliant TV it was. IMHO The Wire is still one of the best shows ever on the great wasteland of TV... https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/06/entertainment/michael-k-williams/index.html |

That's incredibly sad news. I follow him on social media and he was by all accounts a very kind man. RIP. :(

The best actor/character from one of the best shows of all time.

He was great in Boardwalk Empire: Just sad. Drugs suck!
	RIP... |

I'm a Law and Order junkie.
The original series not so much the SUV or other spin offs. These days I enjoy it to see current well known actors who had bit parts or minor roles on the series back in the day. Michael was in a few episodes and even then it was brutally obvious he was destined to do bigger and better things. |

 he rocked in the Wire

I loved him as Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire . . . .

Another program he was in that we really enjoyed was "Hap and Leonard" on Sundance. Cancelled after 3 seasons although the highest rated program on Sundance and great reviews ??.
"Set in East Texas in the late 1980s, "Hap and Leonard" is a darkly comic swamp noir of two best friends, one femme fatale, a crew of washed up revolutionaries, a pair of murderous psycho killers, some lost loot, and the fuzz." https://tvline.com/2018/05/15/hap-and-leonard-cancelled-season-4-sundance/ |

A reprint of an interview was in the LA Times today. Williams led the life when he was younger. he knew to portray He said he was coming from a dark place and when he read the script for "The Wire" and Omar, he knew he "could put part of myself into that part."
