Hit my usual gulf fishing spot yesterday, sucked for fishing (well, I got a bunch of catfish in the 1-2lb range... at least my rod got bent...) but got to watch both ospreys and a bald eagle on the hunt.

There are a number of Osprey Nests near us, one 100 ft or so off my seawall.

They are my favorite bird. Watching the Osprey's and Bald Eagles go at it is always a highlight for me.

Taken this morning: One left on the nest. He or she will be gone soon.

Very cool! We have a fresh water lagoon across the fairway from us and I love watching the ospreys dive into it. One thing the guy didn’t mention (I don’t think) is they will rotate the fish head first in their talons if need be for aerodynamic purposes. Amazing video. Thanks.

We fish off Big Pine Key every year. You get to see some amazing things on the water.
