If it's an Icon it will have a cast bronze gecko attached somewhere, probably on the hood.
Looks like fun.
Don't love the moto-meter hood ornament, makes no sense.

Not cool to post his plate no.

I had a 4 window '50 for my daily when I was 19. 3 on the tree. GM 6, one of the best ever built.

Paid 300 for it and probably sold it for 200.

If I had every car I ever owned in a building, today there might very well be a million bucks sitting. The '71 911 S would be the first 100K. That left town for Germany almost 20 years ago for 18K.

Nice truck. What I really like is the period style wheels. I watch a fair number of car build shows on MT, including Iron Resurrection. The guys on "Iron" do unbelievable work, just top notch craftsmanship. But what gets me is how they put modern wheels on cars that are 40 to 60 years old. It really doesn't look right.

For example:

who knows!....... there was no one around when my buddy and i walked by....... i didnt get a chance to talk to the owner...... there weren't even any cars around.... maybe 2-3.......

i remember being behind ragmuffin going up and over ortega hwy.... many years ago...... that was a go-cart of a car.

haha your 4 window 50 was A LOT cooler than my 1976 AMC Pacer for my 1st car.... hahahaha i also bought it for $300 on my 16th bday.....

period correct rims and tires are my preference too...

BUT

Depending on the build/look it doesn't bother me too much if its a modern set-up, to me..... some look pretty cool.

BUT the old school look of THIS one has won me over! just love it.

It is a good one, for sure. I'm in for the baby moons and steelies as well. Perfect offset.

That truck is really cool.

And yes, the silly chrome wheels on the truck in post #12 are not a good look.

But then a lot of the modern wheel styles don't look good on modern vehicles either.

I dig that truck! Hope it's a sign that sidewall is coming back into favor on older vehicles.

Sooooooooooooooooo

Looking at the pictures..... was interested in the tire sizes since the conversation went to the cool rims and tires......

The rims are 15's !!!!

Front tires:
205-65-15

Rear Tires:

275-60-15

I'm not 100% sure on the front tires...... the pictures are tough to get a clear shot..... the rears i am 100% sure on.
