Elon: My hero

There, I said it.

He's definitely a mover and shaker. I'd like to see him colonize Mars before the U.S. or China.

his stock has gained 700% since I bought it!

The beginning of Tesla was a corporate ousting of the founders (which bodes very poorly in my book), a ton of government green money continuously dumping into the company for overpriced electric volksmobiles, and legacy of broken public promises.

However a stopped clock is correct twice a day, and with all that government slush being thrown around a good viable product actually made it to market at the end of the day. Musk gets my tip of the hat. The start of the electric car charging infrastructure has finally begun, not by government, but by the private sector. The Tucker auto, A123 Batteries, and the Aptera also should have made it into mass production. The funding for those projects were pulled at the last minute to my knowledge.

edit: looks like the https://www.aptera.us/ is still in business. Pavlov effect.

1,000mi range on a single charge.
40mi extra per day from integrated solar panels. Won't get stuck in the desert.

And endeavors such as Inspiration4 could not happen without people like Elon.

I like the guy but I wouldn't want to work for him. Slave driver comes to mind.

^^^ That certainly isn't the case, at least not in the solar industry. Last I talked with my brother about his job, he was happy, although there's only one guard between he and Elon.

Phew, he'd be my hero too if I was up 700%

Strange choice in females though... Mind you that shouldn't effect his work. Alls I is sayin' is with all that money he should have been able to get a better one.

He's very successful and the fact that he has Aspergers is just amazing.

What's my excuse? :o

Insane Mode is a pretty good read about him and his struggles to bring an electric car to the market.

I have been following Aptera. They have a factory being built (estimated completion is Dec, iirc) and their goal is to produce 10,000 next year. They are accepting preorders and investors now. I can't wait to see what they do.

I find Elon very interesting. He is a doer. Some of the interviews he has given has been really different. He is blunt and sometimes a little too optimistic about what and when his companies can achieve something (like FSD). But you have no doubt what his goal is unlike some other CEO's.

I once heard that pay in some departments were based on ideas. The idea doesn't need to pan out but more ideas=more innovation. How many places have you worked where your boss wants to hear anything but his/her thoughts regurgitated?

You may want to research that. It’s very likely that he is so successful because he has Aspergers.

sc_rufctr 09-19-2021 04:58 AM

He's on the scale and obviously it's been beneficial to making money but some people really struggle.

I know a lady who's son has Aspergers. He's 22 and she's his full time carer. She told me he'll never be able to live on his own.
For instance, he has a varied diet but he'll only eat Fish Fingers for dinner.

What's Elon worth? With the value of Tesla he'd have to be one of the richest people on the planet.

- Quick Goggle search: 196.3 billion USD! - Yikes
