A Good Community
Yesterday, our grand daughter's elementary school advised there had been a possibility of Covid exposure the previous week. Then the Province announced there would be three days of testing available for those who wanted it.
Today about 300 showed up and went through the line. I was so impressed with my neighbors. I heard no complaints, other than those of small children who were bored. People were respectful of others and were glad to be able to have a rapid test done. Staff were great. My grand daughter was a trooper and the test result (negative) was texted to us by the time we got home. You want small town? I talked to one fellow who had started to school to my MIL, spent grade 6 with my wife as a teacher and, although I didn't know his father, I had worked with one uncle and had known his other uncle for thirty years. One of our fellow Pelicans was asking for suggestions about where he should retire. I guess I would add this place to his list. Best Les |
I just love it each time I am in Nova Scotia! Hopefully back soon. Which town or area are you at Les?

I'd love to see some pics of NS.
We've had some trials down here as well (I'm thinking of just went down yesterday) :) Glad for the community up there! |
Sounds amazing. I’d love to visit that part of the world.

The area is called the Annapolis Valley and is largely agricultural. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1632483022.jpg And the view from my front yard isn't bad either. Best Les |
I'm not sure I would survive a Canadian winter, but it sure is pretty up there.

Sticking out into the Atlantic as we do, the winters aren't bad at all.
2015 was the worst one in the last decade as we didn't get the thaw part of the usual freeze _thaw cycle. Full disclosure: I did build a cab on my 30 hp tractor because I am such a wuss. :D We get folks who visit and buy property. Of those we get two kinds. Some bail after six months because it is so quiet. The others will declare moving here saved their life. Best Les |
