			I've never heard of them before.  But the first thing that springs to mind is they may be fun to modify as a self defence weapon LOL

			I have one.  Works well in the wind (for lighting cigarettes).  I don't think they allow them on planes but I have to check again.

			bought a cheap one on amazon to light my grill a while ago. Works perfect, much easier that old school big. Really cool trinket for 15$ or whatever.
