Of all the things to talk about in the coming season, suspensions are nowhere near the top of the list for me. When they happen, yes. Guessing beforehand? Not for me.

Aw, be wild and crazy and take a risk and guess.

Toronto won one! (yeah I know, pre-season means nothing because it is just tryouts for many in the minor league) but hey they beat the Habs and that makes me smile.

Sammy Blais was the first to go in '21 so he could be the favorite, and IDT anyone will ever top Coutu so just for grins I'll go with Raffi Torres. Marchand seems to get better behaved as time goes on, heck he hasn't licked anyone in a while.

Although the poll is now closed - I'd say Kadri or Wilson, unless of course Marchie has one of his intermittent "brain fades". Looking forward to the upcoming season.

That was an incredible save.

Right now I am bummed that the NHL sold out to ESPN and they only broadcast on ESPN3. I am not playing the subscription scam (the one with NHL.TV was undependable and their definition of "out of market games" stunk). There won't be much hockey to watch this year. I hope ESPN bites a huge loss and rethinks broadcasts on cable.

I have but it has many quirks. I tried Center Ice but you're correct it has so many blackouts as to be absurd.

No idea but, Kadri saves his suspensions for the playoffs.

Opening night has been alternate universe day.
Most everyone expected Tampa to blast the Pens. Instead the Pens wipe the bolts all over the ice.
Most everyone expected Vegas to steamroll the Kracken. It turns out to be a close game.

I have to say I am thrilled to watching NHL hockey again but
ESPN and TNT intermission reports SUCKS. They have the goofiest conversations and a horrible selection of guests. They spent more time in the pre-game worshiping Gretzky than they did talking about the game or the teams playing tonight.

Also, great players don't make great commentators. Messier was almost speechless and even though I admire the Great One, he is not a good commentator. Finally who the heck cares about Charles Barcley trying to play goalie? Really? Utter waste of my time. Last night was the same. I'd rather reorganize a tool drawer or vacuum the carpet than watch any more of this drivel.

At least ESPN was smart enough to get good announcers like Edso, Ace, Jonsey, Bouch, Liam and Eddie Albert.

I did enjoy watching the Rangers get stuffed by the Caps last night. Even Ovi had a good night.

And none of the Wilson / Reaves fireworks that go so hyped pre-season (primarily by the Rangers), and ergo, no suspensions for either of them - yet.

Joe, may I suggest a new, non-poll, NHL 2021/22 thread? Just a thought, but I'll defer.
