The Mule
Wife is out of town so it’s me and the pups for a few days. Flipping channels last night, came across The Mule, a Clint Eastwood movie from 2018.
Although I don’t watch movies nearly as often as I once did, I can’t remember many that I enjoyed more. Maybe because Clint and my dad were the same age (dad recently passed) and Clint’s aged voice and mannerisms touched a nerve, but the story line, acting, drama and emotions of an old man with regrets really hit home. Really a great movie and a testament to one of the few truly great talents and living legends of Hollywood. I recommend it.

I saw the previews for that posted here a while back. It looked like an interesting/unusual movie.

I watched it about 12 months ago and enjoyed it immensely.

I haven't seen "the Mule" but have liked nearly every movie that Clint has been in.
Back in 1982, I had just started working, and bought the family's first VCR...we watched The Good, The bad, and The ugly ! |

"The Mule" is a cinematic arc that forms a difficult circle of choices and consequences.
Loved it.

The Mule and Gran Torino are two of Clint's best recent movies. I watched Cry Macho last weekend, it was a bit slow at first but got better. I think they could have done better casting for the role of the kid, he was the weak point of the movie IMHO.

I have seen all three of those. Gran Torino is still my favorite of them all.
