Why can't I see some posts?
 

I notice this all the time, I will see some ones post quoted in a thread, but I look back over the thread , and cannot see the persons original post .
Makes me wonder how often I miss posts all together,
In the PITA job thread, I cannot see the original post from Afterburner, but can see that Bob has quoted him,
I have been noticing this for quite some time now, anybody else ?

Quoting someone's post preserves it. I suspect the original posts were deleted.

AB usually requests people not to quote his posts, then deletes them an hour or two later.

This... I know of one gentleman in PARF who deletes his posts from the previous day because he doesn't want them there for all eternity.

Just for info: The mods here can see all posts, edited or deleted.

I'm a member of a photography forum which doesn't allow modification or deletion.
The people there are very cautious about what they post.

I cannot seem to open the "Random Pictures You Have Taken" thread sometimes. Some days I can see it and then other days it won't open at all. I use Tapatalk so I just figured it was an issue with Tapatalk.

It is because of what color the fence is painted.

I received a PM requesting I delete my quotes of the same user in another thread. I changed the name the name of the author quoted to requested anonymity as I did here.

Honestly, if you can't handle yourself being quoted, then stop saying things that can cause you problems. Seems pretty simple to me. I'm not interested in making posts that make no sense due to a lack of context or participating in a hit and run conversation.

On many occasions I have typed a response and before hitting the post button, I think is that something I want on the internet forever. I just delete it before it is posted and life goes on. I don't post anything I plan to delete later, ever. If I can't stand behind my reply forever I don't post it, and it was not relevant then or now.

Nothing is ever deleted... in reality... just hidden from view AB. A few database queries could produce all your history. Yep.... all those PARF rants .... forever :D.

Interesting , thanks guys! I have deleted a few threads of mine. People get all crazy here sometimes. I will just never post anything personal anywhere online ever again . Play it closer top the hip .
I had myself convinced that I made my way onto a bunch of peoples ignore list !

Just understand it's "Wayne's playground" ... or was ;). Your posts & threads could reappear with a simple wave of "Wayne's magic wand" too... in full view.... even PARF rants :D.

But I totally "get" not making it easy ....
