argh....
This week I've been having a hard time getting up in the mornings to go to work.... been pushing it until 655am, then get up and GO.
Off work today (UF homecoming, half the town shuts down, including those of us at The Other College In Town) and my eyes popped open at 550am and I couldn't go back to sleep... Am planning on heading out for fishing today, but low tide isn't until almost 10am and so fishing won't be decent until about 11, which means I need to leave about 930.... |
Just wait until you're afflicted with real reasons for morning to be difficult. IDK the actual physical reasons for it but my body just doesn't work at all well when I wake up.

Sure would be nice if people would title their threads with something that gives some indication of the thread topic.

LOL .... threads are like a box of assorted chocolates .... you just never know until ya bite :)
Beotchin' about goin' fishin'! Now that's a thread title :D |
I thought it was a pirate thread. :)

I had some excellent zookeenie bread with black coffee this morning.

I learned 30+ years ago to not even try to talk to my wife in the mornings until she says something first. She is not a morning person at all. After she has had breakfast is is safe to ask a easy question.
My eyes pop open and I bound out of bed, ready to get going. After a shower and getting dressed I and ready to go and tackle whatever. |

I'm having the same problem. Getting up for work is hard when I know what a quagmire of $*@! awaits me every day. Was up without an alarm or the cats this morning and feeling great.

I just finished working 1st shift. The shift doesn't start up until 6:30am but that is Eastern time and I live in the Central time zone, so, I get up at 3:30am Central, shower wakes me up pretty well and then I sip on an energy drink on my 30 to 40 minute interstate commute. So, I just turned 56 years old and in pretty good shape, no aches and pains, but dang, it is rough getting up and getting going some mornings. I usually average about 5 and half hours of sleep. Then, get this, we rotate every month, so, this Monday I will start 3rd shift and will be on that shift for 4 weeks then rotate to 2nd shift for 4 weeks then rotate to 1st shift again. I've been doing it for over 10 years now and kinda used to it but in reality, no one ever really gets used to a rotating schedule.

I’ve moved into a role at work that is more physically demanding. I need to get into shape, so for now it’s warehouse work.
I didn’t know, for the past two weeks, I was only supposed to be working 40hrs/w. I found out this morning. I’m at 65hrs now for the 2 week pay period. Looks like a great week ahead. My wife and I work for the same company, up at 5, get home after 9. It’s something I had to do, and it’s good for me. |
I have always been a morning person. After I joined the Marine Corps I learned to wake up ready to fight, fu*k or be friendly. You pick.
