The apple that I tested on earlier was a honeycrisp.

Pineapple :D

But that's cool!

So long as it's not an Adam's apple, unless you're this guy.

It was a little harder the second time around, but I got it again.

Honeycrisps or Galas will be the apples of choice tomorrow for me!

I have found that if I slowly try to pull the apple apart, my hand slips. I have better luck if it's almost more of a quick, jerk/snatch movement. And if the apple is too small, that makes it a little harder. Also, the apples that I have, the wax feels a little greasy, like it didn't harden completely. So washing the apple first with a little soap and water seems to help me get a better grip. This apple was bigger than the 2 from yesterday, so it was a little easier.

Is that you in the video? If so..very nice job!
I tried again with the Honey Crisp from the walnut thread.
It just wouldn't split. I might buy a bigger apple to try again. It might be because of the ?*&^% walnut pick-up today (tired).

most of the time I eat Gala or Fujis, but the honeycrisp are a close third. We don't get a lot of variety down here, at least, not where I usually get them.

Yes, sir. That's me splitting an apple.

No doubt, I'd be tired after moving all of those walnuts. But after shoveling and moving 90 sqft of walnuts, we know it's not that you're not strong enough.

Thanks...I appreciate that!
I will try again...with a bigger apple!

Genius! A practically endless supply to practice with, plus different shapes, sizes and varieties!

Once you've gotten good at it, you can hold classes for the other customers!
