MXON 2025 Crawfordsville Indiana... Anyone else going?
Motorhome is serviced and packed. Friends are flying in from Atlanta tomorrow. We are going to head out Weds afternoon for Ironman Raceway. Practice is on Friday, qualifiers on Saturday, Main race on Sunday.
Team USA had two of our three riders injured last weekend. One is out the other got his collar bone plated and is likely to still race. So as of now it is Eli Tomac, Haiden Deegan and RJ Hampshire filling in for Sexton with Justin Cooper in reserve if Haiden can't deal with the injury. I went in '18 and '22 when event was in the States at Redbud Michigan. Coolest event I have ever been to. I think this year there are 28 countries showing up. Hoping somehow our guys can come out on top of the Australians but not holding my breath. Hoping my liver can take all the festivities.   USA USA USA! https://mxonusa.com/

I don’t follow MX but saw clips of Deegan appearing to intentionally ride into other racers. Whats up with that?

Right? Eli is by far my favorite rider and Danger Boy is about my least favorite.
Aaaaaand, DeCostar won't be US Team manager for the first time since the Reagan administration; Mike Pelletier has some big shoes to fill. Go Team USA!

Tomac is my favorite rider too. I have followed Deegan since he was on 65 cc bikes at the amateur nationals. I hated his dad way back when he was doing the Metal Mulisha crap in freestyle. That said... He raised some bad ass kids and was pretty sharp at marketing them. Dude can drive a stadium truck pretty good too.
Haiden at 19 is acting a fool now. That said... He is/will be our best rider in the USA for years to come. He is used to winning at all levels and will not settle for less. I was devastated when he pulled that stupid **** with Shimoda last week that resulted in his broken collar bone. Still unknown as of this morning whether he will be able to race this weekend with his freshly plated collarbone or whether J Coop will take his spot. I am on the fence as to which I would prefer to give the USA the best chance at a good finish.

It is always a wild international crowd. Gets crazy at night in the camping area.

Too bad Sexton, Plesinger and Jason Anderson are all compromised this year.
I miss the good ol' days when the US were layers deep with top talent.

USA 2nd France 3rd Had a blast but probably drank too much, yelled too much and slept too little. Podium celebration  Great weather  Tomac and J Coop's bikes  Me and my old college buddies who flew in from Atlanta
