Impressive Robin Williams impression

This is REALLY well done. The theory is that it's a short meant to drive interest and investors to make a movie. I'd probably watch a good movie about Robin Williams.

Weird, the original video was on YT last night (Oct 15) but it's gone now. Fortunately, there are various videos on YT that include it (for now?).

Interesting, and a good watch. Thumbs up.

I think it was around ‘78 that I found SNL.

Those that watched around that time are considered “required to view” the above vid.

And it would certainly be a good movie to make. I’d certainly see it.

What a weird post.

I am old enough to remember watching "Happy Days" when it was new. One of the episodes had Robin and Mork, battle the Fonz and I really don't remember much about that scene, except it was funny as heck. I remember thinking that guy is funny, and show have his own show. Shortly after that sure enough the spin off show Mork and Mindy was on the air.

He was simply a genius level comedian and I suspect most of the script of Mork and Mindy was ignored and his on the spot made up script was often used for the on air stuff.

Conversely, I think it is an uncanny representation, of not only his voice, and mannerisms, but he even has that mid-70s Robin Williams look down pat...good casting while even Pam Dawber was believable !

Yeah, it was REALLY uncanny. There were times when I thought "no way, is this a deep fake?" The guy managed to look like Robin despite not really looking like Robin.

Amazing.
I would image if they make a movie it will have many ups and downs.

Yeah. He was a comic genius for sure. But, as I understand most comedians, had plenty of personal demons.

Is that him or just a guy that looks a lot like him? He's certainly hairy like RW.

The girl on the far left kind of looks like Kari from Mythbusters.

Well now that Byron has had another chance to post a photo of himself, lets get back on topic. I think the clip was a great piece of acting that really captured the persona Robin Williams showed the world and the hidden struggle we didn't know.
Very well done.

I'll take the blame for the second pic...I posted it.

When Byron had his accident earlier this year, I posted it...but took it back down because I didn't want to possibly upset him while he was hurting.

I found it in the random pics thread.
After I saw the one he posted yesterday...I remembered and re-posted the group shot.

Thanks, that was during the Super Bowl, good times other than the NFL Coaches Association skipping town without paying their bills (lost a lot of $$$ because of that)
But still, the picture you posted always brings a smile to my face.
So why was the video removed?

had coffee with the real unit during the shooting of Jumanji.
he was humble and easy going.
he never put away the "shtick" - so it was hard to get a true read on him.
he loved bicycles - used to ride one to set, once in a while.

I have no idea. I didn't notice it until now.

That's a good question. I watched it again last night, but it's just completely gone from YT now. But there are a bunch of videos where folks included it as part of their video, so it's not gone from the Internet (once something is out there, it's out there forever).

The impression that I always got was that what you saw was what you got.

Yeah, it must have happened in the last 12ish hours. Very weird!
