i kinda want this rifle. anyone know how i can jedi mind trick my wife??

i dont know why i want it.

i missed a smoking deal when the manufacturer offered my brothers work group to buy the loaner from them instead of sending it back..($900)

it's heavy as hell really. bulky. fun to shoot my brother's but i would hate to carry it around.

anyone have one?

M1A

We looked at one last weekend. Used and still $2500. Must have been gold lined!

Good round and lighter than a Garand if you think positively about it. I f we had found one at a more reasonable price I would have bought it, because.

Buy it in preparation for owning a sheep ranch after you retire. Just planning ahead like a good steward of your money would.

After you buy it I can help run drill throwing mags up to you on your roof! Lunch on me!

I have a M1A Loaded. It's my favorite rifle. I prefer it with Iron sites under 500 yards for longer distance I have a Smith mount and a Leopold Mk 4 2.5 -8 optic. Bought it in 1999

I also have a Garand. The Garand points nicer but the military front blade is thicker and makes shooting beyond 350 yards much harder

Tell her you're buying it as an investment. It's the Alec Baldwin signature model!

I have a standard M1A that has been elk hunting, hog hunting, plinking, you name it. It is heavy and a bit awkward to carry while hiking due to the mag.

I have the Smith mount as well Jim, currently it has a holographic red dot on it for hogs.

I got mine pre divorce and saved up for a while for it and it was a lot cheaper back then.

Be prepared to offer up a sacrifice. What does she want that is of about equal value? Or what is there that you have that she really hates?

Don't the Tesla savings have to go somewhere? Basically you would just be paying for it with gas money...and look at the price of gas now!

Great rifle. I trained on the military M-14 back in 1970. I now own 11 of them. I have used it on deer, elk and hogs.

What are you going to do with it? Are you going to buy this new? Looks super heavy, so if it is just going to be bench or long distance shooting for fun, why not buy a historic weapon and shoot open sights? Otherwise, just buy a Mini 14!

I'm not a big gun nut. For me it is more of a tool for hunting. Forget about going hunting with that thing. I recently upgraded to a mountain rifle clocking in at about 5 lbs and it has changed my life in the wilderness and even being on my hands and knees stalking antelopez! (Where is OJU???)

I just picked up a new mouse gun today. My thing is I just never talk about it. Then..."I've had that forever" usually is uttered from my gob. I figure she will get wise eventually since the arms room is getting fuller and I only started with a PPK about 6 years ago.

Then again, I was only just over $300 today so not as much and certainly more concealable in my sock drawer.

Alternatively, you could just make overtures about needing protection for whatever comes next and that you are just being prudent. But you may need to buy some prepper food to go along with that approach.

Edit: my collection also grows without cost since on occasion a judge will award a pistol to me in addition to my fees on criminal cases. So that helps in obscuring my purchases.

Show her the link to the one above and tell her this is an investment that will easily double or triple the profit once it is sold. (how long it takes to sell it might be another thing).
