Another Identify the Car

Bought a bit of land. Came with a free car hidden in the brush.

The view.

Whatever it is I'd bet it was spectacular in its day.

The hood ornament could mean it was something high end and the front grill looks unique.

1941 Chrysler Royal

LWJ 10-23-2021 09:32 PM

No idea. Stainless looks nice.

That was quick. Might also be a Windsor.

Now to figure if it’s desirable enough that someone might haul it away for free.

pwd72s 10-23-2021 09:44 PM

Okay, maybe not a royal...but definitely 1941 Chrysler grill. Why doubt me?

varmint 10-23-2021 09:50 PM

Not doubting you. Just doing a quick search. They’re almost identical.

pwd72s 10-23-2021 09:55 PM

Meant that for LWJ...just don't ask me to identify one of today's rolling jelly beans. I'm a guy who stood puzzled, pushing a fob to unlock Cindy's Camry and couldn't figure out why the lights didn't blink. Duh...I was trying to unlock a Nissan the same color...

Now what to do with the poor thing.

That would cool to get it running without touching the body, moss and all. That was done with this old VW bus that was found in the woods.

Car is nice but the land is spectacular.

Where?

That was the most enjoyable video I have watched about cars in a long time.

I kept expecting Speeder to show up to help!

Thanks!

That’s the mouth of the Kenai river. So yes.
Everyone on pelican is invited. Except for maybe three of you.

Shame. It was a beauty once. Now maybe someone can turn it into lawn art. Will make a plan next spring.

Somewhere, someone is restoring a Chrysler and needs some of those trim pieces. The ones in the photo seem relatively straight and bright.

Where should I post that?

I don’t want to get involved in a long, long distance pick your part situation. But I’d like it if some of the car didn’t go to waste.

There’s some remnants f faded green paint. I think this might have been an officers staff car. That’s the only reason a luxury rig like this could have been up here in the 40s. Only reason I can think of anyway.

herr_oberst 10-24-2021 11:54 AM

Hemmings? Maybe document all the brightwork as it is now, pull it all off and sell it as a lot.
