Upgrading home alarm from 3g to 4G/LTE, any tips?

Hello,

It appears that AT&T will be stopping their 3G service beginning next year, so our alarm monitoring company has been sending us letters to get the cellular modem upgraded to 4G/LTE. Has anyone done it themselves? I looked online and it appears to be pretty simple, but I thought I would reach out to the Pelican brain trust to see if there were any tips or things to look out for.

Thanks,
Neil

We have ADT and last year they came and changed something in the panel to "upgrade" the cell network communication. The result was a number of issues including false alarms in the middle of the night. After a good number of phone calls and technician visits they replaced the whole panel with the new model. This was all done at their (ADT) cost. Things are good now.
