(using the latest waterfox)
I'm getting an "access denied" on both Meijer and Lowes, despite all javascript being allowed.
I do have third-party cookies blocked.
The 'net suggested to clear the browser and reload but that didn't seem to fix it.

The Walmart website also doesn't function.
All scripts were allowed, except the dozen or so various google ones, so it's apparent that their website is "controlled" by google.
Tried Firefox but also had the same result.
I've also noticed government websites which integrate google javascript, which seems like both a security and a privacy issue.

Why are all these entities dependent on third-parties to run their business?

They made the build versus buy decision and it was beneficial to the company and shareholders to build their ecommerce platform using googles infrastructure?

It's part of Google's long game to become the internet gatekeeper; these essentially become hooks to either extract user information or insert ads - or both.

You are 100% correct on both counts. Google is now one of the largest hosts for JS libraries online, and they are trying to be the gatekeeper of information access. This doesn't apply to their hosting of libraries though.

Also. AMP was utter trash but had a purpose when it was made available to developers. Websites were not mobile friendly and rebuilding a site to be adaptive (completely different mobile site) or responsive (layout shifting based on screen size) were expensive endeavors. Easy/inexpensive solution? Use AMP. So publishers did it and watched their ad revenue die. Publishers that used non-google ad stacks saw impressions go to the toilet, lost site functions, and effectively Google was keeping users on their ecosystem. Then you had every consultant claiming to be a UI/UX expert in the digital marketing realm saying AMP was the end-all be-all. What a load of $h1t. And here we are with almost every site now responsive and AMP is where it belongs: In the dumpster fire of dead or dying google products.

Do you get the same error using private browsing mode ?

Using private browsing mode had no effect on the Meijer website.

I tried private browsing mode on the Walmart website and it worked. Yeah.
I switched back and reloaded Waterfox as before....and it still worked. Huh?

Browser history or cookies must be left over, even though the browser is supposedly set to clear 'everything'.
Maybe it's static IP recognition or Microsoft IE/Edge in the background. IDK.
CCleaner finds things but won't tell me the user what they are.

Something interesting to note:
Walmart-online partially seems to be another Ebay (i.e. "Hey, don't blame us when it doesn't arrive").
Other on-line retailers might partially take up this 'virtual bazaar' model. Big and small.

Your URL for Meijer starts with HTTP. When I type it in on Firefox, it switches to HTTPS. Is it possible you're forcing HTTP which the web server is not allowing?

I copied the address from the Waterfox browser header and it is different.

I've got tracking protection on, geolocation off, cookies accepted but no 3rd party. keep history until closed, then erase everything

Something else to consider with regard to tracking is browser fingerprinting. This page here https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/ helps you determine how unique your browser and computer are. It says mine is uniquely identifiable within the 280,000+ systems tested within the last few months with 17.9 bits of data.

The error cited in the Reference number is from Akamai, their content delivery network. Those with the proper access can plug that in and get all of the parameters around the error.
