Damn! Two sexy naked hooligan bikes and a 911 in the same garage. I bet you could fit a moto guzzi in there if you pull the duc up a little congrats!

If you want something French, get a roll of bread. Put some garlic and open a bottle of wine. Best thing that they ever did and thats about it.

Get a Renault Alpine A110 for the collection -- even one with the contempt for the French that I have has to acknowledge greatness in that vehicle.

what Shuie said....Speed Four, as opposed to a Speed Triple. The Speed Four is essentially a naked version of the TT600, but with the fuel injection bugs worked out. Still likes to jump in 1st gear, but its a feature, not a bug.

I'm going to hang onto the Duc for the time being...there is no substitute for an aircooled, v-twin engine.

PS: Slacker, re: your contempt for the French...

Is it because they were right about the non-existence of WMDs ? Because they prefered not to get involved in Iraq based on those non-existent WMDs ? Because they supposedly hate americans (biggest BS ever, by the way) ? Why exactly ? ;-)

ohhhh man.... I SO want one of those. I'd trade the 930 for an A110 w/ an 1800 motor...

Let's not ruin nostatic's thread (and crush Wayne's bandwidth) with the full-on, get-down anti-French screed right now.

And, incidentally, the French intelligence services believed (as did the Germans, Italians, British, etc.) that Iraq had WMD... AND it was the French that tipped the British to Hussein's attempts to buy uranium from Niger. The French just wouldn't follow up on anything in part b/c of the money that many French officials and companies were making in illegal trading w/ Iraq.

Wow, you guys are so well informed of what governments on all side really knew, it's mind boggling ;-) Agreed on the thread...

I want my alpine as a 1600S, not flared fenders. Even those are hard to find, and reach $40K easily these days, come to think of it 40K euros even ! Ouch ! Too late, again !!!

What's up with that snorkle thingy on the speed 4? I just don't get the attraction to the Duc monster, I think they're fugly. Now the 916...

I've also liked the assembly line stampings from Honda

That would be a great bike to get into cheap.
