1968 Volvo 142S 4 speed - $1,795 - Craigslist head's up to you San Diego folks....
Head's up for anyone interested.

Ha ha...you guys are pretty funny.
Looks pretty original except maybe the engine fuel system. Should have the twin Z/S side drafts. Check out the wheels with the original hubcaps! Mudflaps are there too!

What sort of powertrain could be fairly easily swapped into that to make it a hot rod?
A ford turbo 4 maybe?

Were these cars ever rallied? I know the earlier curvy shaped cars were as i recall seeing at least one in old footage of the 'Rally of 1000 Lakes'. If so I'd want to try to stay with similar displacement/cylinder count/induction if possible.
