Arrow 1968 Volvo 142S 4 speed - $1,795 - Craigslist head's up to you San Diego folks....

Head's up for anyone interested.

Rough cosmetically but I don't see any dented body panels so maybe a little light corrosion repair and a re-paint.

4 speed, 2 door, and in running condition!

I have no affiliation.....just passing this along.......

Ha ha...you guys are pretty funny.

Looks pretty original except maybe the engine fuel system. Should have the twin Z/S side drafts.

Check out the wheels with the original hubcaps! Mudflaps are there too!

I wonder why the tail-pipe is sticking out so far?
It's not a diesel.

What sort of powertrain could be fairly easily swapped into that to make it a hot rod?

A ford turbo 4 maybe?

Were these cars ever rallied? I know the earlier curvy shaped cars were as i recall seeing at least one in old footage of the 'Rally of 1000 Lakes'. If so I'd want to try to stay with similar displacement/cylinder count/induction if possible.

These and the ES (wagon version) are bringing in some decent $ on B.A.T. plus they are showing up left and right. Some kind of fetish going on or something!

I like the 142s, but wouldn't a decent paint job put you under water?

What do you think a good paint job would cost and what would such a car be worth with a good paint job?
