Bungadabba

When I was in high school, we were in a bar in Georgetown and we were talking to a guy who was on leave from having just completed basic training. He was somewhat inebriated and relating a basic training story about “being hit up side the head with a bungadabba”. Some time later during my own basic training, I learned that the four metal poles attached to the corners of a military cot are referred to as bunk adaptors or apparently in some cases bungadabbas. Carry on, I’ll be in the area all day.
