Anyone here know Daniel Dudley personally?
I'd like to talk to him but he hasn't been active for 5 months. I'm hoping all is well with him. IIRC he said he's in a high risk group.

Shoot him a PM .... he might have email enabled to receive a notify. That's how someone suckered me back from a hiatus....
Damn you Matt  ....I'm sure his email is probably available to someone with access to the database too fwiw. Or just find him via Google .... wouldn't be hard imo.He is missed.... level headed and a great guy imo... hope he is just taking a break.... it's good for the soul. |

Daniel is a really nice guy and I had some pleasant exchanges with him, even as he was clipping my wings and banning me. One thing to keep in mind for mods is that absolutely no one can do this job perfectly, you just have to strive for fairness.

I have been banned and it may have been by Daniel Dudley. I did what I was banned for.
I was warned by him through a PM another time which I appreciate. My reply, "Thanks for warning. I don't want to be banned. If I am guilty, get me. I might just look in and keep my hands off keyboard for a while. I think you have a rough job." I hope he is alright and is just taking a rest.

I sold my 911 to him...8ish years ago. At the time I think he worked in construction and was pretty busy. If it's still his profession, would think it's still the case.
Don't know him personally, but nice guy to deal with.

Chill out on the Mod role.... Just do what you think is right, fair and just and you will be fine and do a great job.
You will hear from those who think you aren't being fair one way or the other. Is what it is. We all know you are a moderator now. Lead by example in all of your posts to set the standard you will be called against by those few that get wound up. That said, thanks for taking on the role. It is thankless.
